CONFERENCES, WORKSHOPS AND DEMONSTRATION AREAS

The Third Edition of PestMed, in addition to reaffirming its focus on the major business and educational topics related to the sector, will include updates and presentations on NEW FOCUSES of national and international interest.

The 2026 edition of PestMed Expo therefore features a rich agenda of business meetings, conferences for updates and training on the latest developments and trends in pest management and sanitation, with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability. This edition will also be directed by Davide Di Domenico (Biologist-Entomologist, Ph.D., expert in Urban Ecology), scientific coordinator of the magazine “AS-Ambienti Sani.”

The conferences, workshops, and lectures will focus on the main topics and product sectors of reference for the sector, offering in-depth technical, regulatory, and application studies.

PROFESSIONAL PEST CONTROL
This key topic will be explored through presentations on pest management in urban and residential areas, led by industry experts from the University of Catania, the University of Bologna, and the CREA (Italian National Research Council). Among the topics covered, particular emphasis will be placed on aspects related to the urban environment, with a particular focus on beneficial insects and invasive alien species.

PUBLIC AND PRIVATE BUILDINGS
Healthy environments are a fundamental requirement, both during construction and renovation. Particularly in public contexts such as schools, hospitals, and offices, sanitization and pest control activities are an integral part of maintenance.
This year’s major innovation will be a focus on building diseases, with leading experts presenting innovative methods and cutting-edge solutions.

TOURISM – HOSPITALITY – HO.RE.CA.
Specialized presentations and in-depth discussions on tourism and hospitality, with a specific focus on the HO.RE.CA. channel, will focus on the hygiene and sanitation management of hospitality environments, to protect both guests and operators. The new hygiene and sanitation protocols and regulations will be explored in depth to ensure full awareness of the new regulations among industry professionals.

LAND MANAGEMENT & PUBLIC PARKS
The fundamental role of pest control and sanitation in the management of public spaces and the protection of the urban and rural environment will be explored. Among the topics covered, particular attention will be paid to the use of sustainable methods that comply with environmental regulations, ensuring the protection of urban ecosystems and public health.

COLLECTIVE CATERING AND LARGE-SCALE RETAIL
Special attention will be given to the agri-food sector, catering, and the pasta and milling supply chain, with particular attention to the importance of pest control and sanitization to ensure operational continuity and food safety, from field to fork. Experts and specialists from the entire agri-food supply chain will be present.
Special attention will also be given to hygiene in canteens (schools, hospitals, and companies).

PUBLIC AND PRIVATE HEALTHCARE
A specific focus will be on the role of sanitation and disinfection in public and private healthcare facilities, with particular attention to biological risk prevention, patient safety, and compliance with health and hygiene regulations.

SPORTS AND SPORTS FACILITIES
Pest control in sports will be another major theme at PestMed Expo, with an in-depth look at pest control strategies for accommodation facilities and sports facilities, aimed at ensuring public health and user well-being.

TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS
The topic of pest control and sanitization in the transport and logistics sectors will be explored in depth, with particular attention to the protection of goods, operator safety, and compliance with health and hygiene regulations throughout the supply chain.

ANIMAL HUSBANDRY & GRAIN SUPPLY CHAIN
The importance of pest management in livestock farming will be the focus of the conferences, with professionals and large companies presenting innovative solutions for protecting animal welfare and food safety.

TECHNICAL CLOTHING
In the context of pest control and sanitization operations, technical clothing is crucial for ensuring the safety and operational effectiveness of workers. Solutions designed to ensure protection against chemical and biological agents, in compliance with current workplace safety regulations, will be explored.
